गोवा अग्निकांड में उत्तराखंड के पांच युवकों की जान चली गई। इसमें अल्मोड़ा के ही चार लोगों की भी मौत हुई है। गोवा के नाइट क्लब में हुए भीषण अग्निकांड में उत्तराखंड के पांच युवाओं की जिंदगी लील ली। मनीष सिंह, चंपावत के रहने वाले थे जबकि जितेंद्र और सतीश सिंह टिहरी के रहने वाले थे। मृतक सतीश राणा अपने परिवार का इकलौता सहारा थे। वह नाइट क्लब में काम कर माता-पिता और छोटे भाई की जिम्मेदारी उठा रहे थे। सतीश अपनी दो बहनों की शादी करवा चुके थे। नाइट क्लब अग्निकांड में सतीश राणा बुरी तरह झुलस गए थे और उन्होंने अस्पताल में इलाज के दौरान दम तोड़ दिया।

उनकी मौत की खबर उनके परिजनों को मिली तो वह सदमे में आ गए। घर का इकलौता कमाने वाला लड़के की मौत से परिवार का रो-रो कर बुरा हाल है। यह पूरा परिवार खेती बाड़ी और मेहनत मजदूरी कर गुजर करता है।
